This graduate-level book is based on courses taught at the University of Hamburg and the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg in Germany. It gives a comprehensive and systematic treatment of electromagnetic fields and their scattering by material objects in three different environments: unbounded media, waveguides, and cavity resonators. There are chapters on: Fundamentals; Propagation in homogeneous media; Guided wave propagation; Electromagnetic cavity resonators; Free-space measurements – planar interfaces; and Free-space measurements – cylindrical and spherical interfaces. |
