This book results from the project on wearable computing called WearIT@work co-sponsored by the European Commission. Wearable computing is where a computer system is integrated into one’s clothing, or attached to the user in the form of a belt, wristband etc. The system provides useful information on work tasks of the user through an arrangement of sensors. The goal of the wearable computer is to allow the worker to do his job as efficiently and easily as possible which is a measure the system’s performance.
