Review: In May 2001 the author had subarachnoid haemorrhage (a leakage of blood over the surface of the brain). For two years she kept a journal of her journey to recovery. She has combined some of her personal experiences with those of fellow sufferers to give a wider picture of what life is like after suffering subarachnoid haemorrhage. The 'Dented Image' refers to the dent in the author's head where a bone flap was removed and later replaced - as well as her dented image and self-confidence.
