| Review: | ASCE’s Manual 54, Sedimentation Engineering was published in 1975. Since then there have been advances in knowledge of the topic and a Task Committee was set up to produce an updated volume of the manual. This was a huge task, so it was agreed that a companion to Manual 54 should be produced to include advances made since 1975 as well as topics that were omitted from the original volume. This is the new volume – Manual 110. It is a large volume containing 20 chapters and numerous appendices, all prepared by experts in the field. Topics range from ‘sediment transport and morphodynamics’ through ‘computational modelling of sedimentation processes’ to ‘sedimentation hazards’. |
