The book is an essential reference for anyone studying or growing plants. There are over 24,000 entries and it covers every family and genus and of seed bearing plant. This third edition has 1,650 new entries from new knowledge in the field, most notably in the area of molecular analysis. In this edition the author has greatly increased the number of vernacular names which have increased in use especially those non-English names used in modern English literature as well as in the trade for timbers and other products. |
