Review: This book was written by the authors following a conservation conference at the University of Brasilia which attracted hundreds of young conservationists and it seemed a book was needed to counsel and guide them in becoming professionals. The book seeks to address this need despite the readers coming from many countries with different educational systems and language; all this in a fairly slim text. It is not a career for wealth but has much compensation in its work environment. Chapters are: Is this the right career for you? Establishing an undergraduate foundation. Selecting an educational program. Applying for admission. Designing your program of study. Designing your research project. Executing your research project. Attending conferences and making presentations Writing papers. Finding a job. Making a difference.
