This book is for first-time writers and experienced authors, in all biological and medical disciplines. As in previous editions it explains how to draft a manuscript, choose a journal, and prepare graphs, drawings, figure captions and tables. It also gives advice on choosing a title, which authors should be cited, how to write an abstract, and the paper sections: introduction, methods, results and discussion, acknowledgements and references. This new edition contains advice on writing PHD theses and case reports to aid them present their results effectively. Examples of good and bad writing are given. |
