Since its introduction in 2001, the iPod has been transformed from a 5-gigabyte player with a B&W screen to a full- colour media system that can play movies, TV shows and video games. Like the rest of the ‘Missing Manual’ series, this book gives you information that was not in the instruction leaflet that comes with the iPod. The topics are all described in easy-to-follow steps and are accompanied by clear illustrations of the menus and screens involved. The authors tells you all you want to know about your iPod (whether a Shuffle, a Nano, a Classic, or the new Touch) – from turning it on and off to charging it without a computer. They give you the basics of iTunes, how to pick and choose which parts of the iTunes load on your iPod, how to move the iTunes folder to your hard drive, and how to add album covers to your collection. They also explain how to add videos and photos and how you can use your iPod as your personal assistant, how to link up with the Web – getting a Wi-Fi connection, searching the Web etc. and how you can play your iPod through all kinds of speakers. The last chapter helps you troubleshoot – ‘What to do if your iPod isn’t working right.’ |
