This highly-illustrated book is a ‘primer’ for interested amateur astronomers, whether novices or an experienced observers) who want to learn more about the moon. The author gives advice on practical matters, such as equipment and techniques, as well as some history of the study of the moon, and, in particular, of lunar science. This new edition has been largely rewritten to reflect the changes in equipment and techniques. These include the latest lunar imaging techniques, including digital photography, CCD imaging, Webcam observing, and how to collimate all common types of telescope. |
