Review: This is an adaptation of the book published in Italy in 2002 as a tribute to Eric Brenman, who is Senior Training Analyst and Supervisor in the British Psychoanalytic Society. It brings together his papers and seminars to show his impact on the development of psychoanalysis. The first part of the book contains Brenman’s papers, giving an insight into the development of his clinical and theoretical thinking. The second part contains three of Brenman’s clinical seminars: the trans-generational transmission of trauma; the analysis of borderline pathology; and the psychoanalytical approach to severely deprived patients.
