Review: A new digital age has come, providing astronomers with an array equipment at affordable prices, the power of which would have been unimaginable just 10 to 15 years ago. CCD cameras and their associated technologies have made great strides, particular in colour cameras. This book is arranged into three sections of increasing complexity (and cost of equipment). Topics range from using a consumer camera at the eyepiece of an ordinary telescope to specialist multiple robotic telescopes searching for supernovae. The authors are each experts in a particular field and explain the use of webcams, through to highly technical topics such as supernovae patrolling, as well as computer processing, stacking and image enhancement.
