Review: The Global Network Supercourse created a network of more than 600 scientists in the Former Soviet Union region, researching an area of man-made disasters. These are the papers from a workshop of scientists from NATO countries, aiming at finding new cost-effective distribution channels to share disaster low-bandwidth preparedness and mitigation research information as well as creating scientific networking both locally and between countries. It also aimed to collaborate on disaster preparedness and mitigation research projects.
