Review: These are the eighteen papers from the conference held in Minnesota in November 2004. The conference looked at the problems of transport and accessibility to towns and cities. They range from issues of transit, network growth, definitions and modelling and cover the practical aspects, theory, applied research, and even econometric modelling. The first part of the book covers topics such as congestion, transport–land use policy and planning for accessibility. Next, a section on behaviour and measures looks at residential location choice, job–housing distances, employment accessibility, and freight accessibility. The last part of the book looks at applications such as evaluating transport policies, modelling accessibility, and parking.
