This is No. 40 in the Standard Reports Series. The object of the report is to provide guidance on the proper and consistent application of basic requirements of the Basic Safety Standards of Ionizing radiation, by the legal persons who are responsible for the nuclear medicine practice. It applies to all the established use of ionizing radiation sources that are used in nuclear medicine. The Report covers: the safety of the materials, equipment and facilities; occupational, medical and public exposure; and potential accidental exposure and emergency plans. |
