These books gives up-to-date information on the current understanding of liver diseases and reviews some key diagnostic and therapeutic advances. There are two volumes Volume 1: Pathways, Mediators and Regulation and Volume 2: Pathophysiology, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Insights; each volume is divided into two sections.
The first volume looks at the cellular, biochemical and immunological mechanisms that underlie liver diseases. The second volume focuses on clinical liver disease pathophysiology and related therapeutic and diagnostic insights. As well as students wishing to enlarge their knowledge of liver disease, the book should be of interest to hepatologists, clinicians, researchers and academics, who will find it to be a source of new ideas and an introduction to topics outside their own scientific disciplines. |
