This is the first dedicated report on stack decommissioning and has resulted from many years of undertaking such projects particularly in the light of several large decommissions in the last few years. Stacks can be become contaminated over many years of service and present a serious decommissioning issue. The first 50 pages cover the various aspects of the decommissioning process while the rest of the book covers the experiences of eight actual decommissioning projects. The book contains many colour illustrations which show examples of felling and dismantling as well as other aspects in decommissioning such stacks. |
