The papers in this book are revised versions of papers given at a workshop at the AAMAS conference in New York in 2004. They cover agent tools for modelling, simulation, and management of transport systems – in particular in traffic and logistics scenarios. The papers include: provisional agent agreement for global transportation scheduling; dynamic transport optimization; designing multiagent decision support system for managing traffic; SCATEAgent; reducing the effect of the Braess paradox with information manipulation; the effect of route information sharing on reducing traffic congestion; a collaborative driving system using teamwork for platoon formations; computing location choice of secondary activities in transportation models with cooperative agents; multi-agent system simulation to generate individual activity programs; a dynamic network simulation model based on multi-agent systems; and a message-based framework for real-world mobility simulations. |
