How to create, use, store, and verify identity on the Internet context is a complex problem. Today’s IT managers need to create an identity management infrastructure that meets their business objectives. This book gives the first-steps towards a general-purpose identity management infrastructure that will enable new applications, services, and business models, at the same time reducing costs. There are three sections. The first gives the core concepts in digital identity, including privacy and trust. The second section discuses the technology of digital identity. The last section describes, in some detail, a process called an identity management architecture that can be used to build a digital identity infrastructure in a company, regardless of its size or organization. |
