This is recommendation No. R (95) 15 of the Council of Europe, the latest publication in a blood transfusion programme whose aim is to ensure good quality of blood and blood products. The guide provides all those working in the blood transfusion services with the measures needed to ensure the safety, efficacy and quality of blood components. The recommendations cover: the quality system for blood establishments; blood collection; blood components; technical procedures; and transfusion practices. In this latest edition chapters have been revised to reflect new technological advances. |
