Review: Skyscrapers, often inhabited by transnational companies, need to fulfil the requirements of the workers in such companies, while having a minimum adverse environmental impact. In this book the author aims to explain how a transnational building can be turned into a green building. Using examples of office blocks in Amsterdam, São Paulo and Beijing as examples, she analyses how transnational buildings can be made sustainable. She compares and contrasts the different social mechanisms that are, or could be, put in place and suggests how sustainable practices that are currently being used could be adopted more widely.
