Lipids play an important role in numerous physiological functions, including their structural role in cell membranes and their conversion to eicosanoids, which affect neighbouring cells through receptor interactions. New technologies are permitting rapid expansion of the understanding of lipids and one such technology is the microarray. This book presents a collection of reviews on microarray technology and provides guidance on handling omnic datasets. Each of the 19 reviews includes a summary and an extensive reference list. It is hoped that the book will encourage more scientists to use omnic techniques in their own fields of research. |
