This book came out of the fourth Oxford–Kobe Materials Seminar on nanomaterials held in Kobe in September 2001: after the seminar the speakers compiled extended manuscripts suitable for graduates or researchers entering the field. The resulting twenty chapters are compiled into three sections: nanocrystalline alloys (with emphasis on the fabrication and structural characterization of these materials), novel nanomaterials (including nanocomposites and nanotubes and nano-optoelectronics), and magnetic nanomaterials and their industrial applications. |
