This introduction to project management begins with very small projects and works its way up to larger, more complex plans. It includes essential core management skills: organisation, planning and control. These are essential to ensure that the project meets the three primary objectives of cost, time and performance, i.e. the project is completed to the mutual satisfaction of both client and contractor. There are chapters on: scheduling project resources; help from a computer; risk management; controlling costs and cash flow; controlling progress; controlling changes; and handover and close-out. |
