Review: Jean Renaudie (1925–1981), French architect, looked on architecture as the materialisation of the complex structure according to which human relations are organised. This entails not just the use of materials and techniques, but also the exploitation of desires and dreams. This book follows his philosophy and designs in the last half of the last century for houses, flats and shops. Influenced by research into molecular biology, his urban projects incorporated diverse unique dwellings, rather than uniform tower blocks. Almost every page contains a drawings or photograph of the illustrations and designs of Jean Renaudie.
