The extensively revised new edition of this reference book provides information on 1844 chemicals used in the agricultural and public-health environments, and focuses on the primary chemicals used in pesticides – those in current use as well as those no longer in use. Commonly used bactericides and some recent pesticides are also included. Pesticide chemicals are divided into 17 groups according to function, for example: acaricides, fungicides, plant-growth regulators, and animal repellents. The molecular formula and current US EPA status for each chemical is provided, together with known synonyms, physical properties, toxicities, and manufacturers and suppliers. |
