On a global basis, the construction industry is notoriously inefficient, with a record of poor-quality work, low safety standards, low productivity, cost overruns etc. This book focuses on how cooperative interorganizational relationships can be improved. Florence Phua gives a framework linking organizational identification with the lack of inter-organizational cooperation, looks at research strategy and methodology, and develops a research model. Using data from local Hong Kong and international construction firms, she analyses the level of cooperation in a project environment. |
