In choosing heat transfer equipment, the author’s experience is that roughly one selection in 25 is a poor choice in terms of construction. . Even though most exchanges selected are thermally correct, many have not been the best choice for the application. Here he looks at hundreds of field problems that he has encountered in his 46-year career and shows how they could be avoided in future. He looks at: process exchangers, air-conditioning exchangers, and the cooling of electronics. The book includes techniques in exchanger selection, in choosing alternates, and in construction and installation. The effects of filters, racks, screen rooms, packaging, heat sinks, hot spots, blowers, and ducting on performance are included. |
