This textbook describes practical holography for display purposes and progresses from simple single-beam holograms to techniques for producing multicolour art holograms and holographic stereograms of any complexity. The last part of the book covers applied holography with broader descriptions and a stress on practical setups. This edition has an updated style and has been rewritten in the light of recent developments, in particular the introduction of reliable diode lasers, new holographic plates and films, and advances in embossing techniques. The new material also includes a description of how to make and coat holographic emulsions. |
