This book is the result of a pilot study of Lake Peipsi and its drainage basin. The aim was to analyse and develop strategic planning methodologies and scientific tools for the integrated water management of transboundary watersheds that are located on existing and future borders of the EU. The project comprised four modules: ecological status and nutrient tools; environmental information for policy- and decision-making; policy instruments and institutional mechanisms; and integration, synthesis and end-user participation.
