Review: Cascading Logic is a programmable methodology for generating machine-control programs. It is used for types of industrial equipment that are sequential and controlled by programmable logic controllers. The book begins by explaining ladder logic and ladder logic circuits. These are used throughout to illustrate the text. Cascading logic is used to write robust, easily-written and reliable programs. This book describes how to write such programs: beginning by focusing on the basic elements of the machine, programming each element, and then reassembling the elements to make a complete machine control program. The sequential nature of events helps operators and maintenance staff to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment once it is in operation.
