This textbook describes all the methods of digital data processing of remote sensing images. The book is divided into five parts: data sources; physical interpretation of the data; processing and interpretation (visual interpretation and automated classifications, textural and structural processing, photogrammetry etc.); quality assessment; and applications for crops, grassland, soils, landscapes, mines, coastlines etc. Image processing can now be carried out on a PC, and the examples can be calculated using the sample of the TeraVue program given on the CD-ROM. The CD also holds SPOT and LANDSAT images to illustrate the phases of the method. |
