Fluid machinery is essential for the movement of oil and gas in the extraction and hydrocarbon processing industries. Improvements and innovations in fluid machinery result in improved reliability and increased efficiency. These are the Proceedings of the 8th Conference held in The Hague in November 2002. The 24 papers discuss: fluid machinery design; turbo-process machinery; developments in pumps and drivers; multiphase pressure boosting; safety and the environment; operations and maintenance; retrofits and upgrades; and additional papers (design considerations for helico-axial multiphase pumps; mechanical face seal performance using modified face surface topography). |
