Retrieving bioenergy from biomass and other organic matter can be beneficial as it reduces greenhouse gases and helps stimulate rural economies. These are the proceedings of the Conference held in London in October 2002. The authors have experience in different areas of the bioenergy industry in the farming sector; as suppliers of the technology; or as financiers. The papers look at the management of risks taken in bioenergy projects and the potential benefits. The book is divided into eight parts: fuel; research and development; the UK Government perspective; deploying technology; developers and users; covering the risks; the Regulatory context; and connecting and selling. |
