| Review: | This textbook presents several approaches to adaptive control – ‘adaptive’ in the sense that it changes its output in response to a change in the error. A truly adaptive controller adapts its output as well as its underlying control strategy. Very few adaptive controllers capable of updating their control strategies online are available commercially as off-the-shelf software.
