Review: This book is a compilation of the programs researched and developed at The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. The original programs were verified in a large number of consultancy projects in the seismic Himalayas, in India, Nepal and other countries. Further research on tunnelling hazards has been included. These landslide programs give a complete package of almost all types of landslide analysis and control. Chapters on practical solutions of both landslide and tunnelling hazards, and the behaviour of rock joints and rock masses are presented for preparation of realistic input data, with emphasis on the proper design of remedial measures, rather than on rigorous analysis. There are 18 software packages on landslide in soil and rocks, and six tunnelling packages, along with the source program, user manual and solved examples. The CD contains all the programs and manual.
