This is a revised and updated version of Project Physics Course for undergraduate students. It presents a broad approach, including the historical and humanistic aspects of the topics, to allow the student a deeper understanding of the subjects. There are two self-contained parts to the book. The first part covers matter and motion and includes: Newton’s unifying theory, conservation of matter and motion, heat and the kinetic theory, wave motion and Einstein’s relativity theory. The second part of the book discusses fields and atoms and includes: electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic waves, the quantum model of the atom, and the nucleus and it applications. |
