The aim of this book is to gather the sparse information that is available for randomised trials in childhood cancer. From this data, a rational evidence base for current practice and areas for new study will be able to be identified. The data should provide useful information for those involved in trial design and be valuable to those in their early oncology careers who should be aware of what studies have been done but find that current textbooks provide only minimal details of these trials. Parts I and II cover solid tumours and leukaemia and each of the twelve chapters has a commentary by a well-known figure in children’s cancer, followed by details of the relevant studies. |
