This is the latest in the undergraduate Tutorial Chemistry Texts. It begins by explaining the theory behind spectroscopy and then looks at different techniques, such as rotational, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy. High resolution (structural) and low resolution (analytical) spectroscopy have been dealt with together as they are closely interrelated. The spectroscopy of large and small molecules has been dealt with similarly. Each chapter is clearly set out with its aims, an introduction to and discussion of the topic, a summary of key points and a set of problems (with answers at the back of the book). |
