Review: This book aims to help students design and write up a research project. It begins right at the beginning, with the choice of research project, then explains how to review the current literature, and specify your research model. Electronic search resources and bibliographical software get particular attention as they enable the student to come to an overall conclusion about the relationship of one or more (causal) variables to a dependent (effect) variable of interest. The basics of writing fundamentals, validity, and data visualization are all covered, as well as research ethics and issues associated with drawing inferences and making generalizations. The final chapters look at dealing with the thesis or dissertation committee. There is also a list of US funding resources for dissertations, with web links and contact information.
