This book deals with the theoretical background numerical modelling of wire antennas on the one part, and the solution of various EMC problems by means of wire antenna theory on the second part. Several numerical examples are provided of theoretical and real-world problems while there is an accompanying CD Rom containing the TAWS (Transient Analysis of Wire Structures) software which helps readers in their understanding of the subject. In part one the books provides a historical background of thin wire modelling, modelling in the frequency and time domain, frequency domain analysis and time domain analysis. Part two covers EMC computational models based on wire antenna theory, analysis of transmission lines of finite length, analysis of lightning rods and grounding electrodes, and the interaction of the human body with electromagnetic radiation. |
