This book presents a best-practice approach for analytical method development and validation to ensure the best use of resources and enable laboratories to produce consistently reliable data. It covers all aspects of the validation process: from sample and model selection to collaborative trial. It also provides guidance on the use of selected statistical procedures for the comparison of methods where circumstances and resources do not allow the meeting of the requirements of the IUPAC protocol. There are worked examples of the main statistical procedures for the calculation, display and reporting of results. There are chapters on: samples and sampling; method selection; equipment calibration and qualification; the method development process; method validation; data evaluation, transformation and reporting; and technology transfer. |
