The basis for this oeuvre of Adolf Krischanitz, the freelance Viennese architect, is his 'double strategy': 'the programmatic dualism of theory and practice, the method of continuing dialogue between conception and reception, stringent realization and contemplative assimilation' (Friedrich Achleitner). This well-illustrated book documents Krischanitz's furniture designs, exhibitions and interiors as well as his architecture. His buildings exhibit an affinity to the usual everyday processes and show his individual development of contemporary Minimalism. |
